Authors, It’s Time to Blog!

Are you looking to take your business to the next level with your book? Then you need to start a blog.
Maybe you already have a blog but have not maximized it….
There’s a reason why Businessweek magazine said “Blogs are a phenomenon that you cannot ignore, postpone, or delegate.” Blogs help you get new clients and grow your business.
Blogs will enable you to drip market the preview or additional supportive content of your book to build a following for your book, before your official publishing date. In my case, I use my blogs to build the connection between my authors’ upcoming books and my blog readers. It’s one of the best ways I can help those who aren’t familiar with the work of my thought leaders, to get to know them, like them, and hopefully, connect with them.
I spent fifteen years writing, teaching, consulting, and training people how to network better. But now, for the past decade, I turned my passion for writing and having my own books published by traditional publishers, to help others accomplish similar goals in what I call: The Corporate-Indie space. Each time I’m able to showcase their books, I feel like I’m doing what now feels, even more, like my life’s purpose.
I’m grateful to have helped over 150 wonderful thought leaders in the last ten years and still continue to help 10-15, yearly, write books that make a difference in the world. To this end, I spend hundreds of hours talking with those who are just at the start of their author journey. My goal is to, first, just answer their questions to help them decide on their best path.
My love for helping thought leaders write books is why I’m a big advocate of creating and developing blogs as one of the best tools to grow their outreach, community, and resulting book sales most successfully. Building and keeping up a blog is one of the top tools a new author can use to build a following. Me? I just spent two weeks reviewing and adding updated content on the 800 blog posts on this site. Going forward, I will keep regularly editing and adding content to help my readers navigate the changing landscape of publishing and writing, especially non-fiction book writing.
In the meantime, have questions about writing, publishing, launching, or marketing your first book or want to chat with me about your writing project? Reach out here — no obligation, just talk 🙂
