Melissa G Wilson – Founder & President

Melissa has over twenty years of experience in publishing and has helped more than 160 authors get their books written, published, and launched. Her clients have include business leaders working for Hewitt, Holland America Cruise Lines, Allstate, the NBA, and Cisco, along with countless leaders from small and mid-sized companies around the world.

Melissa is the author of five bestsellers. Her latest book, Networking is Dead: Creating Connections that Matter, was a Wallstreet Journal and Barnes & Noble bestseller. Her book, Networlding, was a top 10 book on Amazon for a year.

Melissa is constantly creating new strategies and resources to help thought leaders create, publish, and market books to take their businesses and/or careers to the next level.

Melissa’s greatest passion is helping young adults start their lives and careers. She mentors up to ten college students yearly in the areas of book publishing and marketing.

Melissa lives in Chicago with her amazing husband, whom she named “Mr. Wonderful” before Kevin O’Leary of Shark Tank fame made it a million-dollar brand.

Melissa and her husband, Craig S Wilson, a thriller author and accomplished composer, have an amazing blended family. Their home has a special “Creative Room” where they write. This room has helped them stay true to being eternal creatives.

Recently, Melissa, has been working with the American Marketing Association to publish their series on the seven problems of marketing. Her current creation is a series called: 33 Ways How Not to Screw Up…  (health, wealth, happiness, writing, etc.).

Dawn and Melissa have been friends since law school, finding synergy as they collaborate to find tailored solutions to help authors tell their unique stories and produce their best work.

When Dawn decided to write her book, Melissa and Networlding exceeded her expectations, offering her top-notch service and a network of experts to make it happen. Dawn’s book, 33 Ways Not To Screw Up Cybersecurity, has sold nearly 1,300 copies and won the BookFest Award for Third Place Award — Business Leadership — Industry Expertise in Fall 2022.

For over 25 years, Dawn has served her clients concerned about emerging risks, including environmental, product, professional, and cyber liability. Dawn has helped business owners facing cyber threats through her work in claims and learning and development in the cyber insurance market. Her company, The Cyber Dawn, LLC, offered niche cybersecurity awareness training for organizations looking to avoid cyber incidents.

Julie Anixter has spent her career bringing big ideas to big audiences that help change the world, working at the intersection of design, education, communications, and culture. She has worked closely to translate the ideas of Rose Gailey, Seth Godin, Tom Peters, Shawn Nason, Tom Peters, and Richard Saul Wurman, among others.

Jon Malysiak

Jon Malysiak is the founder of JFM Editorial, an editorial services provider and literary agent based in Chicago, IL. Over the past 20 years, Jon has worked as an author, acquisitions editor, developmental editor, literary agent, and publishing consultant. Prior to opening JFM Editorial in September 2017, Jon was the Director of Ankerwycke Books, the trade imprint of ABA Publishing, the book publishing division of the American Bar Association. Among his most noted projects are:

  • The Inside Counsel Revolution by General Electric’s renowned former head of inside counsel, Ben Heineman

Jon currently works with authors to develop and edit their manuscripts, formulate their book proposals, ghostwrite where needed, and provide editorial evaluations. As an agent, he represents a select group of authors to publishers in a wide range of nonfiction categories and foreign rights.

Michael J Nolan is an author and publishing professional with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. He has been an acquisitions editor, developmental editor, project manager, and designer of print and digital media. His skills include:

  • Internet and new-media work including content strategy, information architecture, usability, user experience, social media and mobile applications
  • Design for packaging, advertising, editorial, branding/identity, web, software, and animation
  • Software expertise in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat; Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Networking with a worldwide range of contacts in the fields of design, publishing, politics, education, broadcast, and print media
