New LinkedIn for Job Seekers Group Up – Tips for Better Results Online

I have been building online communities for years, but I have never seen the kind of online traffic and growth of communities like I have seen on LinkedIn. But what makes a good site great? It’s all about the attention you give to the community coupled with the direction.

Following is an example, my new group is called Networlding1 for Job Seekers. Here is the link: http://www.linkedin.com

When you go to the group, I start by leading those who want to sign up create a better “first impression” through the following instruction:

For a free LinkedIn Tutorial Guide email me at [email protected] Once you are in this group, please share: 1)your top three strengths, 2) your top four values, 3) the type of position you are looking for 4) the types of companies or a list of the top three companies you are looking to get into and 5) connections with two companies you have relationships with.

I know that this will help both Linda and many others who follow along the same path. I can continually go into the group when I get emails from recruiters or employers looking for candidates and find someone like Linda much more easily.
