WHY #12: Why Persist?

WHY #12: Why Persist?

You may be thinking about getting back to work tomorrow wondering how you will make it through the day. Why?

You’ve got the responsibilities you tell yourself. People are depending on you. You HAVE to go versus GET to go to work.

Last year when I read the book “Do the Work” I thought a long time about work and how to persist in what I was doing to achieve those goals that were so elusive to me.

It was a long, tough year with the economy limping along but each month I would tell myself to keep going. I went on auto-pilot during the day and kept reading books in the evening that inspired me.

These tools made the difference. By the end of the year, I was reaching fit a book or watching TED videos or listening to Audible books each morning while getting ready for the day.

I would focus on one motivating thought or story I had just read each day. I call my method “iterative adoption” and it works. Take life one day at a time. Each day pick something to keep you motivated. Persist. It will pay off. I promise.
