LESSON 1 NETWORKING VS. NETWORLDING WHY DOES IT MATTER?

Certainly, there is a passing resemblance between networking and Networlding – both revolve around the concept of forming relationships. But the resemblance ends once you understand the traits of Networlding. Use the space below to fill in the traits of networking and Networlding during the discussion.

In networking:

  • Connections are often flimsy because they lack ongoing support
  • People are bound together because one person needs the other for a project, sale, or deal. It’s often one-sided.
  • One particular situation binds the two together – and once that situation ends, the relationship isn’t strong enough to sustain itself.

In Networlding:

  • Relationships begin when you’re clear in your intent – in the broad sense of the word.
  • You communicate your goals and values, and those who resonate with that will respond to you.
  • When someone responds positively, and you’re able to establish a Networlding relationship, both can reap the benefits.
  • This new partner, or potential new partner, will become a source of fresh ideas, support, and help bring about more opportunities.
